Travel Awards

ACDS is pleased to offer three travel awards, each of $400, available to promising postgraduate students and early career researchers who will be attending JAM2023. Applicants are required to submit the below form and a 2-page CV to auscelldeathsociety@gmail.com with your name and "JAM2023 Travel Award" in the subject heading.

Getting to & from Melbourne Airport

Bus Services

  • Melbourne Airport is connected to Melbourne CBD by Skybus and regular Public Transport Victoria (PTV) buses. 

Taxis

  • Taxis are on hand to pick-up arriving passengers, with taxi ranks located close to all terminals. Melbourne CBD is approximately 30-minute drive from Melbourne Airport. Taxis can be pre-booked and fares will vary depending on the time of day.

Rideshare

  • Melbourne Airport has dedicated rideshare pick-up and drop-off areas at all terminals.

Car rentals

  • Many car rental companies are available on-site at Melbourne Airport. 
  • Please note: There is no designated parking on-site at WEHI and parking restrictions/charges are in force in the surrounding streets.

Getting to WEHI

All suggested accommodation locations are within 15 minutes walking distance from WEHI. 


WEHI can also be accessed by Yarra Trams (Route 19, 59 or 58). To travel on Trams in the areas you will require a valid ticket. 'Myki' is a reusable travel card which is your ticket for trains, trams, and buses in Melbourne. Myki can be purchased online in advance or at myki machines located around Melbourne, including in Melbourne Airport Terminal 2 or 3 Arrivals.
